The Chronic Illness Management Programme
A free lived-experience informed 9-section programme, designed to empower you to manage your chronic illness.
About the programme:
This programme is due to launch 30th May 2026. Once it does more information will be available on this webpage.
There is no one definitive guidebook to living with chronic illness and disability. A fact that underpins most, if not all, of my work with Alive with Chronic Illness. I believe passionately in the power of collective wisdom, support and experience. We build entire communities around us, of those who share our hopes, dreams and fears. Who understand what it’s like to struggle to navigate a world not designed for us. When my health first declined I searched online for guidance, I found a myriad of resources, talks and podcasts, that helped me learn to navigate my new normal, and fill my bookmarks folder. There is a seemingly endless wealth of knowledge out there. So Jo Southall and I decided to create the Chronic Illness Management Course a nine part lived experience informed programme designed to guide you gently through chronic illness management.
What to expect from our programme:
🍃 Tips and guidance on getting started with managing your chronic illness when you have had a new diagnosis, change in symptoms or set back.
🍃 Pacing, pacing and more pacing. Pacing is the core behind our programme, we will teach you how to implement sustainable pacing that works for your life. Focusing on building a life where you can still do all the things you want to do, but at a pace that works with and not against your body.
🍃 Adaptations and mobility aids. We explore mobility aid and adaptation options that could help you to navigate your home, workplace and community with less pain.
🍃 Looking ahead. It can be scary to think of the future when you’re living with a chronic illness. We explore steps you can take to plan for flare ups, and to build an accessible future.
